Fitness trackers and smartwatches were already a sought-after sports accessory before the coronavirus pandemic. But now, in the battle against lockdown weight gain, they are even more in demand. Hama introduces the ‘Fit Watch 5910’, a waterproof smartwatch with built-in GPS for route recording, which gives the wearer precise information about his or her physical activities. It can be used to record up to eight different sports; the timer and the stopwatch measure time intervals in sports activities, such as 15 minutes of stair climbing, or the sprint time. This can be analysed at the end using the ‘Hama FIT Pro’ app; further information is provided by the Google Fit, Apple Health and Strava apps. But the watch also has much to offer in normal everyday life, with features such as a message preview, a vibrating alarm, a do-not-disturb mode, a 1.3-inch full-colour full-touch LCD display with adjustable brightness and automatic activation by arm movement, an integrated weather forecast, and a ‘Find my phone’ feature. Particularly worthy of mention: The watch can detect too much stress and offers breathing exercises to help calm the wearer down again. All these features are rounded off by the convenient magnetic charging function – simply dock the watch to the supplied charging cable using the contact points, and the watch is fully charged again within 1.5 hours. The ‘Fit Watch 5910’ lasts up to six days before it needs recharging.
