Smart home products are licensed for Matter

Hama Smart Home gets Matter-compatible

At the beginning of October, the time had finally come: the Connectivity Standard Alliance (CSA) published the long-awaited standard for Matter smart home products in version 1.0. Well-known products and systems such as HomeKit, Alexa or Google Assistant will support Matter in the future. Accessories manufacturer Hama is also part of this alliance, in which more than 200 companies, including Apple, Google, Amazon and Samsung, are already working together. Via Matter Smart Home, smart home devices from different manufacturers are networked with each other in a consumer-friendly way. The user only has to scan a QR code to start up a new smart home device. This automatically integrates it into the smart home and makes it convenient to control and automate.

Hama will license a wide range of products for Matter in the future. Sockets, lights and lamps, heating controls and security systems are gradually being equipped with Matter. This not only applies to new products from Hama, but numerous products already on the market will also be upgraded with a software update. The Hama app, in which all Hama products continue to be integrated, then automatically informs you of this.
