Old, faulty, lost or simply impractical to use - there are several reasons for replacing the original TV remote control. The accessory specialist is now taking a new, sustainable approach with two new solar models.

New on the market are a universal model and one specifically for Samsung televisions. Both are operated via Powerfoyle film. These solar cells convert daylight or artificial light such as room lighting into electricity and thus fill the built-in energy storage unit. After long periods of darkness, a few seconds on the USB-C cable are enough to kick-start continuous self-charging and remind the remote control of its full memory.
Both models, which incidentally consist of at least 20 per cent recycled materials, are pre-programmed. The universal version for over 1000 devices of various brands, the Samsung version also works directly with older televisions thanks to a combination of Bluetooth and infrared.
Both remote controls have the streaming buttons in common, which call up Netflix, Amazon Prime Video or Disney+ at the touch of a button

Adaptive and for up to eight devices
Its versatility makes the universal remote control special: with TV, set-top box, satellite receiver, soundbar, DVB-T receiver, cable receiver, Blu-ray player and amplifier, up to eight devices can be controlled. The learning function quickly and easily transfers the functions of the old remote control to the universal model - so no commands are lost.

Like the original from Samsung
The main difference between the Hama Samsung model and the original remote control is its slim design. Otherwise, it impresses with its multi-functionality: all smart functions are still covered, as are features such as multi-view and voice assistants - simply pair via Bluetooth and you're done.
