Christoph Thomas, grandson of the company founder, announced his retirement from active management at the works meeting. From the beginning of next year, this will be the first time that a family member will no longer be at the helm of the Monheim-based company.

Hama is focusing on one IFA topic in particular this year: Made in Germany. More than 60 percent of all Hama phone cases are to be produced in Germany in future.

Accessories specialist Hama and loudspeaker manufacturer Canton are launching a promising cooperation at this year's IFA in Berlin. Hama has expanded its audio range considerably in recent years and is taking the next step together with Canton, one of the best-known loudspeaker manufacturers, which has been developing in Germany since 1972 and has inspired generations of hi-fi enthusiasts ever since.

The IFA in Berlin, which opens its doors on 1 September, is the most important consumer electronics trade fair and is just around the corner. Accessories specialist Hama is offering a small preview of what dealers can expect at Stand 101 in Hall 4.2.

At the beginning of October, the time had finally come: the Connectivity Standard Alliance (CSA) published the long-awaited standard for Matter smart home products in version 1.0.

In the context of future development, Hama has decided to enter another market field and to make the Hama group even broader.
